The  Archangel recruitment continues. I have looks of people who want to do it, but all evening was back and forths on this, and by the end of the night I look to be down to one last candidate, who I plan to talk to about it more at the upcoming Master Installation tomorrow.

However, tonight was a B.R.U.W. gaming session, so we had a fun-filled night of cleaning up exploding messes some miffed Thieves Guild members left for us.

We also had a new player, Nate, join us tonight who apparently is friends with a handful of the other gamers. He’s opted to play a heavily armored, heavy-hitting half-orc barbarian who’s almost seven feet tall.

When I got home I decided to pick through my inventory to find a figure that would work for his character, and settled on the below guy, both for his height and for the huge sword he’s wielding.

I had to do a handful of fairly simple conversions. The shield I cut off, and hacked that arm off at the shoulder so I could rotate its position. Then to cover the part that used to have the shield, I used a Space Marine shoulder plate to serve as a greave. His sword also has s chain motif (which can grapple opponents) so I cut off a long chain from the death-knight looking figure in the back and replaced the greatsword’s hilt with it. To finalize it (and increase stability) I mounted him on a metal base (another depleted 3V battery).

I’ll think about color schemes, but as he’s from Calimshan, I’m thinking orange and purple (desert-y colors).

Also, I plugged away and almost finished up painting the sigils in copper on my Fire Wand, but I’d lost track of time and had to run out to pick folks up for gaming, so didn’t have time to take pictures, and I’m not doing it tonight, so I’ll just post it later after I’ve finished up the last few I didn’t get to.
