So, I took all this week off of work. First and foremost because I’m pretty burned out and haven’t taken more than a single day off work since August 2015…

Second because I want to be able to dedicate as much time as necessary to the preparation and rehearsal for the Solstice ritual on Saturday, and third because I want to prove to myself (and the gods) that without the distractions of a day job, I can devote myself to living a more or less fully magickal day/week.
So, I’ve been working on this chart all week and finally hung it on my studio door last night. It include all the stuff that I need to be focused on throughout each day, week, and month. I’ve broken it all out by the planetary days of the week, and further by the (general) planetary hours. I then did my best to match the right task, chore, or operation to the best corresponding hour.
The idea is with this I don’t have to worry so much about what needs to be done and when, and if I miss something, I’ll make doubly sure to do it the following week. It’ll certainly morph over time, but for now it gives me a template, and once I have a template I feel like I have my head around something. The plan is eventually to be able to juggle something like this with the responsibilities of my day job, but this week I don’t have that added pressure.
And, since I wanted to step up my game, I decided I’d include yoga in my routine again, so I popped open Amazon on our Roku, and did the Root Chakra (1st of 7) exercise routine from Kundalini Yoga: A Journey Through the Chakras with Maya Fiennes. It’s actually been an embarrassingly long time since I did one of these exercises, and I have to admit I struggled to complete them. I’ll be doing one of each exercise each day this week as part of my commitment, so hopefully I’ll be able to make this part of my daily regiment again.
As for actual work, I began the glass etching of the jar I’ll be using as the Honey jar for the Solstice ritual. I use Armour Etch Glass Etching Cream, which has worked well for me in the past.
I started with my sigil for Infinite Fraternal Success, and the actual word ABUNDANCE… but I plan to mark it with planetary symbols as well. I will likely also make a Honey jar for the home as well as one for Lodge, and have picked out a different jar I’ll use for that later.
