Today I kept working on the molds for my Water Cup and Fire Wand (and will be reinforcing them both with wire frames within the molds), but I also started work on the material that will be going into the orgonite I’ll be casting from these molds.

Orgonite traditionally has bits of copper shavings/BBs and copper coils wound within them. I’ve already made the ruby caduceus that will make up the core of the Fire Wand head, but for the Warer Cup lid, rather than a coil I though a unicursal hexagram would be more appropriate for me. In its center will be the nifty piece of lapis lazuli I picked up recently.

For the random shavings that will also go into the orgonite, I used the Flush Cut pliers (that I’d actually gotten for my wife’s chainmail work) to slice up a long coil of copper wire as diagonally as I was able, and it also created some interesting coils shapes that way.

I also took pieces of copper tape and cut up little hexagons for the Water Cup, and little triangles for the Fire Wand. I also wrapped bits of the copper tape around the tip of a d4, and trimming with an exacto knife, was able to make a handful of little copper tetrahedrons, also for the Fire Wand.
