I had a productive back and forth today with Wimsaur today concerning the upcoming ritual, and he turned me on to some Golden Dawn diagrams I hadn’t been familiar with.

I’ll be following his advice and changing up some zodiacal order stuff with the Temple layout. It won’t change what I’ve actually written, but I think it’ll be a positive alteration to the space, nonetheless. I also floated an idea past him of a cool idea we can try for the purposes of our Altar. It would require building something, but I imagine it would be doable… we’ll see.

I also had another fun call with Aaron about the Forgotten Realms/Call of Cthulhu mass-up campaign he’s running the next session of tonight. I think I helped him figure out the behind-the-scenes stuff he needed to work out to pull off his big twist, and I’m definitely curious to learn how it’ll go. He’s still slogging through the (arguably dense) script for the Prologue & First Chapter of the Black Knight graphic novel. He’s taking notes as he goes, and once he’s gone through it, I’m sure we’ll have a few more calls to discuss and hash out any tweaks or necessary changes to the script. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with visually.

And, as a fun turn of events, and old friend of ours from our Diamond days, stand-up comedian Jim Meyer will be the opening act for the legendary Bobcat Goldthwait at Mabooby’s Joke House on May 7th and 8th, and Jenny and I are so excited to see the show. You might actually remember Jim from a few years ago for a little stand-up routine he did that kinda went viral where he performed as if he we Fantastic Four nemesis Doctor Doom. This was performed at the ever-cool Golden West Cafe in Hampden, which is also one of my favorite places to meet up with friends for dinner down that way.
