Not much to report today, but since one of my B.R.U.W. gamer pals lent me his copies of the D&D 5.0 rule books Player’s Handbook and the Dungeon Master’s Guide at last night’s game, I’ve been perusing them a bit…

So far, it’s still much the same as the game I’m familiar with, though some of the new changes I’ve noticed so far seem smart (and adaptable). I think I’ll be able to adapt the Blackspire game play to accommodate some of these core game-play changes, while still keeping the skeleton of the game based in Pathfinder. We’ll see…

Last night’s game was definitely fun (if slightly less than challenging compared to the previous sessions). Among other foes, we fought a mummy in the dungeon below Fort Morninglord. I didn’t have a mummy figure with me, but did have a skeleton, which I wrapped in a fortune cookie fortune to complete the illusion…

Level cleared!

Of course, we now learn that our kingdom is under attack by a pair of dragons, and I’ll be missing the next game session (holiday party at my wife’s new job) so Jaenos will be “out of town on business” that session while the other players take care of the dragon threat.

Stupid holidays…
