Our poor kitties (and the few neighborhood strays we feed) were all out of food, but I discovered this evening that the car wouldn’t start.

Now I’m not blaming Mercury going into retrograde today as the cause, the cold snap that brought the ice storm the other day hasn’t let up (dropping 30 degrees in one hour), but I’m not not blaming him either…

I can’t help but feel perhaps some breaks weren’t necessarily as clean as I’d hoped… but best not put those thoughts into words…
Anyway, despite myself I have been saying I enjoy walking more, so the cold notwithstanding, it was dinner time, so I walked to the closest grocery store and brought home cat food while Jenny called AAA.
Eventually we got the car started, but Jenny still spent a good chunk of time preparing a backup plan via Uber in case the car won’t start in the morning.
