Frater Superabo and I participated in our first class at Baltimore Aikido.

We both met some very nice, cool, helpful (and experienced) people, and the nice upside to the class, is even though there’s an instructor, basically everyone else you end up pairing with also has a lot to teach.

Like anything new (and difficult) worth learning it will take time, but I think I have good instincts for it. I was even complemented on my footwork when we trained with the boken, and the instructor correctly guessed I had a fencing background.

8:00 AM on a Sunday is early for me, but I want to try to make it to the ki development class, as that really the crux of joining the group in the first place.

And a few more tweaks to Black Knight… I feel like I’m juggling a dozen different balls of all different sizes, and they all still need to be set down in the right order, but I’ll get there.
